Ethnic and Racial Healthcare Disparities - Summary

A 2003 survey sponsored by Aetna and NCCJ on racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare documents the current status of public opinion on key elements of racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare, the differences among racial and ethnic groups, and changes in these attitudes over time. Conducted for Aetna and NCCJ by Princeton Survey Research Associates, the survey follows up on the landmark 2002 IOM study that documented the disparate treatment of minorities in the American healthcare system and laid out a broad range of initiatives to attack the problem.
