Religion in Public Schools - Summary

The Kentucky Conference for Community and Justice reaffirms the wisdom of the First Amendment to the Constitution and calls for government neutrality in matters of religion. The extraordinary variety and vitality of religious life in the United States is largely due to the Constitutional protections we now enjoy. In affirming its mission, KCCJ seeks to prevent any child from being a “stranger” in his/her own school.
